Personal Style: Earvin Aquino

Got the chance to finally make a "better" portfolio, special thanks to the early-than-expected announcement of the Philippine Fashion Week go see for 2009. Unluckily, I didn't get in. The taste of the panel is really hard to decipher yet, it will always serve as a room to improve more on myself.

So with that, I needed to make my portfolio, rush. And nobody does rush works perfectly than a very good friend/ photographer, Ahleks Fusilero (http://ahleks4u.multiply.com). For the clothes, I really didn't know what to go for. I based some of the clothes from different pegs(photos) I saw online and on editorials/ ads. Good thing, we were able to pull off a complete look; different looks ;)

Here's a glimpse of what's inside my model portfolio:

Top Model In Small Packages?

Models have been known for towering heights. As for an overall standard, no one gets below 5'6" or 5'7" in height for women. Well everyone has heard of the great Kate Moss who was a big exemption to the rule. Trying to make another wonder, Tyra Banks, the host of the ever so popular modeling series, America's Next Top Model (ANTM), tries to dig deeper into the possibilities of finding the next top model in small packages.

In one of the episodes of ANTM Cycle 12, Episode 3, a short teaser was aired regarding ongoing castings for Cycle 13. Yep! And you thought 12 was the end of her career. LOL! Even though she announced her upcoming retirement on the lates cycle, Cycle 13 is on call for models 5'7" and below.

According to the contract posted on the CW network, the series ANTM Cycle 13 is looking for models strictly 5'7" below with a disclaimer of something like "changes can be made as set by the producer." Still, the idea for the upcoming cycle is to extract model potential into a total fierceness machine... whatever that means.

Casting is strictly for US residents only and you can check out this link for the casting schedules, venues, and details: http://www.cwtv.com/shows/americas-next-top-model12
