Advantage On Vintage

The sun is up and getting soaked wet one way or another will be simply irresistible. As you hit the streets, the beach, the waves, or whatever, add color to the scene with a vintage look.

You'll never go wrong with vintage... unless you overdo ;)

Simplicity In Chic Ways

What look should you have that can turn heads without having the sense of "overdoing" on yourself?

Tiger of Sweden's Spring/ Summer Campaign this year (2009) shows how to prep up without having to much complications, yet, preserving that "tick" of being a head turner. Simplicity yet chic for the modern man and woman... it's all about that.

Its Going To Be A Short Summer

Not that rain will kill the smile on our faces; summer marks a look for short shorts for men, which is not that much of a common male fashion these past few seasons. Days of the colored jeans may have had their turn on the spotlight, short shorts will definitely turn heads even more.

Ready To Wear McQueen

Alexander McQueen has been known to have a deep source of inspiration for his collections. In 2008, everyone was in awe for both the set design and clothing presented to the critical eyes. As for the present year, 2009 for McQueen is just new door to open, and also, something worth looking forward to for his followers.

Alexander McQueen's Ready-To-Wear collection for 2009, Fall/ Winter can be described in just a few words, that is "Awkwardly Superb, Disturbingly Amazing." Looking at his collections, I personally believe that the word "Great" is an understatement.

Top Model In Small Packages?

Models have been known for towering heights. As for an overall standard, no one gets below 5'6" or 5'7" in height for women. Well everyone has heard of the great Kate Moss who was a big exemption to the rule. Trying to make another wonder, Tyra Banks, the host of the ever so popular modeling series, America's Next Top Model (ANTM), tries to dig deeper into the possibilities of finding the next top model in small packages.

In one of the episodes of ANTM Cycle 12, Episode 3, a short teaser was aired regarding ongoing castings for Cycle 13. Yep! And you thought 12 was the end of her career. LOL! Even though she announced her upcoming retirement on the lates cycle, Cycle 13 is on call for models 5'7" and below.

According to the contract posted on the CW network, the series ANTM Cycle 13 is looking for models strictly 5'7" below with a disclaimer of something like "changes can be made as set by the producer." Still, the idea for the upcoming cycle is to extract model potential into a total fierceness machine... whatever that means.

Casting is strictly for US residents only and you can check out this link for the casting schedules, venues, and details: http://www.cwtv.com/shows/americas-next-top-model12

Can Your Digicam Do This?

Often do we use small and handy digital cameras for point and shoot purposes only. It is very useful especially when traveling to new places, capturing some precious moments, and whatever crazy stuff you can think of. Speaking of which, I for one am an owner of a Sony Cybershot Digital Camera, which was given to me by Sony from a competition I joined under their company.

You bet it has been very useful to me personally and it has also given my self-portrait itch an upgrade. LOL

I was able to accidentally fool people that some of my self-portraits were taken by a DSLR camera. NOPE NOPE :) It's all in the power of natural light, self-timer function, and a good positioning of your camera... not to mention a good strike of a pose *wink*wink*

As for post processing the image, you can use Adobe Photoshop or whatever suits you best. I personally use Photobucket's online photo editor... hehe.

Chic and Deadly

However mysterious a crime is, the word "fashion" will always fit in perfectly. The masterpieces of photographer Melanie Pullen portray the beauty of the photos, the "grab me by the neck to look" feel, and the preservation of high fashion despite of an untimely death.

"I waited for my friend's call but the phone never rang...

...the other said she's on her way but she never came...

...I didn't bother calling an old room mate since she's about to leave town...
...and my best friend was nowhere to be found...
...I was just left there hanging..."
These photos can give out the statement, "I will not be caught dead wearing......."

A-List Stars Boosts Iron Man Sequel Up Up And Away

Almost every Marvel movie released in theaters these past few screening dates have factual statements of having a sequel. Spiderman will be having a fourth installment, Captain America in 2010 will be Obama (kidding), Thor will be ahead of screening date before his team "The Avengers", and a whole lot more.

Sparing you from the spoilers, coming soon in the big screen is the second installment of our flying tin can hero Iron Man which will still be played by sassy daddy Robert Downey Jr. Although this time, he will be joined by a new Marvel Russian character which will be played by a fellow A-list star.

According to Entertainment Online, Scarlett Johannsson will be playing the Marvel Russian character, Black Widow. Well I couldn't imagine anyone better to play the role anyways... unless Cher changes her mind to play Catwoman on the next Dark Knight sequel... JUST KIDDING!

So who gets beat up this time around? Nope, it's not some giant robot with mood swings. Joining the cast is Marvel Villain Whiplash to be played by an already villainous star, Mickey Rourke

... and I'm more convinced to watch out for this on the big screen.

Iron Man 2 engages its gears to the big screen on May 2010. Familiar stars are rumored to still be present on the attendance sheet: Gwyneth Paltrow as Brad Pitt's ex... I mean, as Pepper Potts, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and Don Cheadle as Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes.
